REQUIRED for all Musicianship instructors and all teachers of courses coded for GCP
Optional for all others

We will be using on-line assessment rubrics this year.  This one-hour session will help us understand the software, and the method behind the madness.
Facilitator: Justin Bitner

Regarding syllabi
Syllabus writing workshop

I am available and eager to help with the designing and writing of clear, effective syllabi.  Rather than offer a lecture, I’d prefer this year to sit down individually with anyone who wishes to discuss and plan a stronger, better syllabus.  Simply contact Jean to set an appointment!!  A 30-minute session will include elements of a good syllabus, show various examples, and include plenty of discussion.  The result will be stronger, clearer syllabi.
Facilitator: Jeffrey Carter

Tuesday, August 16, 11 a.m.-noon, EAB 110
Canvas training
Optional for all

Canvas is the on-line teaching tool.  Several of us wish to use this software in our courses.  Theory faculty and music education faculty in particular may be very interested in this.  A one-hour session will introduce us to what Canvas is, what it can do, and how we can integrate portions of this software into our teaching and communication with students.
