The Master of Business Administration program was named the most popular in Kansas and Missouri by Ingram's Magazine
KANSAS CITY - Webster University' George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology (Walker School) has the most popular Master of Business Administration (MBA) program in the states of Missouri and Kansas, according to a new survey compiled by Ingram's, a business magazine based out of Kansas City. It is the #1 program based on number of students enrolled.
The rankings were published in the July, 2013 issue of the magazine. The list included a mix of both publicly funded, private non-profit and private for-profit universities. Webster is a private, non-profit institution.
“We are pleased our program is recognized in this listing, as we believe our faculty offers a superior educational experience,” said Benjamin Akande, dean of the Walker School. “Besides small class sizes, our program recognizes a need for flexibility for our students. Through our 60 metro locations and our online program, our students can work at the pace that allows them to put together a program that best fits their needs, whether they are working full time, raising a family, serving in the military, or doing a combination of all three.”
Webster's Walker School MBA program has approximately 6,000 enrolled students, with more than one-third in the Missouri-Kansas region. It boasts one faculty member for every five students. Students in the program can choose a standard MBA or specialize with an emphasis in Business and Organizational Security Management, Decision Support Systems, Environmental Management, Finance, Gerontology, Human Resources Development, Human Resources Management, Information Technology Management, International Business, International Relations, Management and Leadership, Marketing, Media Communications, Procurement and Acquisitions Management or Web Services.
