Illuminate the Holidays - 2014 Toys for Tots

Toys for Tots poster Campaign starts Nov. 15

ST. LOUIS (NOV. 15, 2014) - Beginning today, Webster University will kick off its first Toys for Tots campaign. Coordinated by the Office of Military Affairs as a tribute to the university’s Centennial celebration this year, the program is a perfect way to bring joy into the lives of so many families in need this holiday season.

WHAT: Toys for Tots Campaign

WHEN: November 15, 2014 – December 15, 2014

WHERE: The public is invited to participate and bring unwrapped new toys and books to collection boxes at these Webster University locations:

Webster Groves Campus: Loretto Hall Lobby, 9am - 5pm, Monday – Friday, 470 East Lockwood Avenue, St. Louis, MO  63119

Gateway Campus: Old Post Office, 10am-8pm, Mon – Thurs; 10am-4pm, Frida, 815 Olive St., St. Louis, MO, 63101

Winghaven Campus:  10am-8pm, Mon – Thurs; 10am-4pm, Friday, 2299 Technology Drive, #300, O’Fallon, MO  63368                                                                                                                                                    

Westport Campus:  10am-8pm, Mon – Thurs; 10am-4pm, Friday, 11885 Lackland Rd., Maryland Heights, MO  63146

NOTES:  Webster University is pleased to partner with local Marine Corps Reserve units, who coordinate the donation of gifts to less fortunate youngsters throughout the community this holiday season. Over its life span, the Marine Toys for Tots Program has distributed over 469 million toys to over 216 million less fortunate children.

Toys for Tots collection areas are also being established in Webster University campuses around the world, including metropolitan, military and corporate, as well as American-style traditional campuses in North America, Europe, Africa and Asia.  The goal is to have participation on more than 75 campuses world-wide.   Where this is not a local Marine unit, local charitable organizations will serve as partners for the program.
