ST. LOUIS (JAN. 7, 2015) - U.S. News & World Report today named three of Webster University’s online programs as among the best in the country in its 2015 Best Online Programs Rankings. The rankings were released today and will be published as part of its "Best Graduate Schools 2016" and "Best Colleges 2016" guidebooks later this year.

Webster University was listed in the Best Online Graduate Business Programs, the Best Online Graduate Education Programs and the Best Online MBA Programs.

“As technology continues to improve, students’ expectations also increase. We want our online learning experience to incorporate the latest technological innovations so that students’ learning experience is seamless with their other online activities,” said Michael Cottam, associate vice president of Webster University’s Online Learning Center. “Webster University is continually monitoring and improving its online education system, and that is reflected through this recognition that we have some of the best online programs in the country.”

  • Webster University’s online business programs were listed as the fourth best in the state of Missouri and 67th best in the United States.
  • Webster University’s online graduate education programs were listed as the second best in Missouri and 86th best nationally.
  • Webster University’s online MBA program was listed as the seventh best in Missouri and 126th best in the country.

The online MBA category was introduced this year by U.S. News & World Report. Data from non-MBA business programs were used to calculate the online business programs category, while data from MBA programs were used for the online MBA category.

According to the U.S. News & World Report website, the rankings are determined through surveys and data collected from the institutions. The ranking service looks at student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training, and student services and campus technology to calculate the final ranking.
