Webster University Wind and Percussion Ensembles Perform

What/Who:

The Webster University Wind Ensemble, directed by James A. Martin, will present a concert of chamber music performed by four of its sections.

Webster University Chamber Winds, Jan Gippo, director
Wind Quintet (1998) by Carl Pandolfi (Webster adjunct instructor)

Webster University Saxophone Quartet, Mike Karpowicz, director
Patterns from Mosaics for Saxophone Quartet by Lennie Niehaus
Quartet #2 In Three Movements by Bob Mintzer

Webster University Percussion Ensemble, Michael Faris, director
"Afro-Amero" (1991) by Phil Faini "
"Terma Usullar" (1993) by Tolkin Isakov who currently teaching percussion for the Community Music School of Webster University and a course in "Rhythms of the World" at Meremec. Tolkin Isakov is a recent immigre to the U.S. from Uzbekistan, where he was the senior instructor of percussion and Dean of the orchestral faculty at the Tashkent State Conservatory.
