    Environmental Author Derrick Jensen to Speak at Webster University

    ST. LOUIS– Author Derrick Jensen will speak at Webster University on Thursday, April 23, 2009 as a part of the school’s Environment Week.

    The lecture titled “Civilization and Resistance” is sponsored by Webster University’s Campus Activities and is also part of the College of Arts and Sciences’ Year of International Human Rights.  The event is free and open to the public.

    Derrick Jensen is the author of several books on the environment and our responsibility toward it, including Endgame and As the World Burns.  His book Endgame earned him the Press Action’s “Person of the Year” award.  For more information, visit his website www.derrickjensen.org.   Several of his books will be available for purchase in the lobby before and after the lecture.
