"The Race for the Nomination" Election Panel; Jan. 30 at Webster University
What/Who:
Webster University political science professors Dan Hellinger and Gwyneth Williams of the History, Politics and International Relations Department; and Jim Brasfield of the Department of Management, will discuss the 2008 presidential primaries. They will examine the impact of gender and race and the problems confronting candidates of both parties.
Daniel Hellinger is an expert on national politics, foreign policy, Latin American politics, media and politics, political parties and the international political economy.
Gwyneth Williams is an expert on national politics, the court and judiciary, party politics, race and gender in politics and constitutional law.
Jim Brasfield is an expert on state and local politics, including the management and financing of local government; and health care policy, including Medicare and Medicaid.
