9/11 Conspiracy Theorist to Speak at Webster University April 29
David Ray Griffin, controversial conspiracy theorist and emeritus professor of religious philosophy will present "Is the War in Afghanistan Justified by 9/11?", Thursday, April 29, at 7 p.m. in Webster University's Winifred Moore Auditorium, 470 E. Lockwood Avenue, Webster Groves, Missouri.
Dan Hellinger, Webster University professor of political science, teaches a course on conspiracy theory and will moderate the evening discussion. "Griffin is perhaps the foremost voice of the so-called '9/11 Truth Movement,' which questions the official account of the 9/11 Commission," Hellinger said. "Griffin is likely to attract an audience that is ardent on either side of the issue. There are likely to be activists with the movement, and there are likely to be people who dismiss Griffin and claim that raising these issues is wacky, or worse, disrespectful."The event is sponsored by the Webster University College of Arts and Sciences departments of History, Politics and International Relations, and Religious Studies, and is free and open to the public.
David Ray Griffin is emeritus professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology at Claremont School of Theology and Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, Calif., where he is co-director of the Center for Process Studies. Griffin has written more than 30 books including The New Pearl Harbor Revisited: 9/11, the Cover-Up, and the Expose (Olive Branch Press, 2008).
