POSTPONED: Webster University Alumnus to Speak at School of Business and Technology’s ‘Maritz Success to Significance Speaker Series’
ST. LOUIS, Feb. 3, 2009 - Webster University alumnus and AT&T executive Mark Keiffer will visit the University next week to speak at the School of Business and Technology’s “Maritz Success to Significance Speaker Series.” Keiffer’s presentation, “Your Success. Delivered.” will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 6 p.m. in the University Center’s Sunnen Lounge, 175 Edgar Rd. in Webster Groves. Free parking is available in the University’s Garden Park Garage, 554 Garden Ave.Keiffer, who serves as AT&T’s president of Mobility and Consumer Sales, launched his career in telecommunications before Ma Bell produced any babies or a cell phone could fit in your picket. In his 25-year rise to the top, the marketing and management expert has supervised networks, catapulted consumer sales and led entire regions of business markets. This Webster University graduate is the “go to” guy at AT&T when the industry leader wants things done…and wants them done right.
Previously, Keiffer served as president-regional business markets, where he was responsible for all regional business sales across the AT&T Business Communications Services regions. He also served as president and CEO of AT&T Southwest, where he was responsible for all operational issues in the AT&T Southwest region, including network, consumer and business sales. Prior to this, he served as executive vice president-enterprise business sales and chief marketing officer-business.
Keiffer began his career with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. in 1982 as a network services supervisor in Oklahoma City. His varied background includes positions in network, customer service, installation and repair, community relations, human resources and marketing. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from East Central University in Ada, Okla., and a master’s degree in business management from Webster University.
