Webster University's WorldClassRoom Quick Start Guide

Browser Issues

At some point you may encounter small bugs or problems while working in your online course. Most of the time these can be resolved by closing your browser and reopening the page, or switching browsers. Below we've listed some common problems, their solutions and a couple of tips to try before you call the Help Desk.

Log In Errors

Problem: You're attempting to log into WorldClassRoom directly (e.g. not through Connections) and it doesn't recognize your username or password. You are positive you have typed it correctly, and that Caps Lock is off.

Solution: Close all browser windows. Start your browser again and try logging in again. This solves the issue 90% of the time. If you continue to get this error, try logging into your course through Connections. If you do not see a link to your course in Connections, then you might not be enrolled in an online course. Call the Help Desk.

Page Errors / Display Problems

Problem: You've successfully logged into your course and have been working in the course for some time. You click a link to a new page or tool and you get some kind of error page or just a blank white page with no content.

Solution: Many times you can repeat the same solution to the Log In Errors issue, closing your browser and logging back in. If the problems persist, try switching to a different browser. If you usually use Internet Explorer, try using Firefox, and vice versa. Usually, these errors are temporary system glitches that resolve themselves after restarting the browser or switching browsers.

Browser Choice

We highly recommend using the Mozilla Firefox web browser. This browser has shown to be more stable and secure in our testing of the BbVista platform. Even if you prefer to use Internet Explorer or another browser, it's always a good idea to have a second browser installed in case of display problems.
