Some courses or programs may require additional software to perform various activities. You should check each course syllabus for specific requirements. Below is a list of common software that may be required in your online course.

Microsoft Office – The basic Office package, which includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint, is a required tool for online courses.

Important: There have been issues recently revolving around compatibility between the new versions of Microsoft Office and the older versions. The newest version of Office saves files into the ".docx" format instead of using ".doc".
