Class of 1968 Dinner

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 28, 2018
CLASS OF 1968 DINNER, EDWARD JONES COMMONS, EAST ACADEMIC BUILDING

Let me begin by saying. . .welcome home. It is good to have you back on campus.

I am grateful to all of you for joining me this evening. It’s such a pleasure spending time with you. Your presence on this campus pays tribute to the leaders whose vision created Webster University and revitalizes our work to continue helping students succeed.

I want to personally thank Julie Walsh Reese for the incredible work she has done to unite your class for Reunion Weekend. Julie, thank you for the meetings you attended, personal calls you made, and hours you put in to make this weekend special for your classmates. As Reunion Honor Class Chair, Julie help raise [funds] toward the Class of 1968 Reunion Class Endowed Scholarship. This scholarship will give a Webster student the opportunity pursue their passions and achieve their dreams, just as you did 50 years ago.

I had the opportunity to hear some wonderful memories from the guests at my table, and I’m eager to hear more from the rest of you. Let’s open up the discussion to reflect on your time at Webster 50 years ago.
