2018 REUNION AWARDS RECEPTION, EAST ACADEMIC BUILDING

Hello and welcome back to Webster! It’s so good to have you here on campus. Some of you may have had classes right here in this building! Others may remember it as a parking lot! Whatever way you remember Webster University, I hope that is always with pride.

Now more than ever, it is a great time to be proud of this University. In August we officially welcomed our second-largest incoming undergraduates, including 14 Presidential Scholarship Awardees, 7 Academically Talented Transfer Scholars, and 39 Phi Theta Kappa transfer students.

In addition, U.S. News & World Report again ranked Webster in the Top 25 Midwest Regional Universities. Webster was also recognized for having one of the best Study Abroad programs in the country. Regionally, Webster also received Best for Veterans and Best Value School recognition.

Our students make Webster great, and our alumni are a testament of what is possible with a Webster degree. Thank you all for being here.

I would now like to introduce Provost, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Julian Schuster to the stage.
