Webster University is currently conducting a strategic planning process – one that will transform the University for sustainable success as we approach our Centennial and enter our next century as a higher education institution.
More information about Strategic Planning coming in the following months.
Webster University will participate in the American Council on Education's (ACE) Internationalization Laboratory as part of their 2011-2012 cohort of institutions. The Internationalization Laboratory will provide the unique opportunity to share best practices with other institutions and to benefit from the expertise of ACE senior staff.
An Internationalization Steering Committee will be charged to inventory and review our internationalization efforts, analyze them, and develop a strategic plan for long-term success and growth. The Committee will focus on connecting and creating synergy among international initiatives, identifying gaps in internationalization efforts, and proposing ways to improve, expand, and deepen the impacts of our programs.
Academic Program Review and Prioritization is an initiative advancing Webster University's commitment to achieving global academic and operational excellence.
In 2011-2012, academic programs will be reviewed for alignment with mission, vision, values, and the strategic plan; for identification of areas of excellence and opportunities for expansion, growth, collaboration and/or consolidation; and for alignment with planning and budgetary processes.
The six new working groups for Academic Year 12-13 will review Webster's practices, investigate best – and next – practices, and make recommendations for change and for actions which will leverage Webster's uniqueness and align with our mission, vision and values.
