The American Psychological Association has announced that there were numerous errors in the first printing of the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association. In an effort to make things right, the APA has 1) printed a corrected copy of the manual, which is now available at all bookstores, 2) produced a detailed corrections summary of the errors for people who purchased a copy of the first printing, and 3) has initiated a manual exchange program.

More information about the Publication Manual can be found on the APA website at: WWW.apastyle.org. A link to the correction summary is available at this website. On the website the APA explains that they feel corrections summary will meet the needs of most people.

However, if a student determines that the summary doesn't meet his or her needs, the student can receive a replacement copy of the Publication Manual from the APA at no cost. In order to receive a replacement manual, students must return their current copy of the sixth edition to APA no later than December 15, 2009. Students should contact the APA Service Center for further information on how to receive their replacement copy. Fall 2 Syllabi Now Available Online

Syllabi for most Fall 2 classes are now available online. Students can go to www.webster.edu/sanantonio and click on the desired class and the syllabus will pop up.

The syllabus contains textbook information. Students should make every effort to obtain their textbooks before classes begin. Books can be ordered through the Webster online bookstore which can be accessed at bookstore.mbsdirect.net/webster.htm. If students decide to purchase their books from another source they should use the ISBN number, which can also be found on the syllabus, to ensure they have the correct books.

The syllabus also includes the instructor’s contact information in case any students have questions they need to ask before the class meets the first time.

Finally, the syllabus contains a week-by-week schedule of what will be covered in the class. Many instructors have included assignments that should be completed by the time the student attends the first class. Students should make an effort to be prepared for the first class.
