Criterion Four
Acquisition, Discovery and Application of Knowledge
The self-study found that indeed Webster University promotes a life of learning for all of our constituents. The Committee was pleased to aggregate its considerable evidence supporting this criterion.
Our academic community supports and fosters academic freedom, inquiry, and excellence. Many of Webster’s programs are applied programs and are designed for immediate application and a life of work.
The University has a commitment to be among the premier international institutions, and believes that Webster will help set the standards for global education. A new mission statement will soon articulate our goal “to transform students for global citizenship and individual excellence.”
The self-study also found continued support and understanding of institutional integrity, of the value of diversity, and of the technological changes impacting society.
