The Student Government Association (SGA) of Webster University serves as the representative body for students at the Webster Groves campus. SGA advocates on behalf of students in university affairs, charters and funds student organizations, supports student organization leadership, and funds large-scale organization events and student trips. Members serve one year terms or until the end of the academic year. General body meetings occur on every other Tuesday from 3:30 - 5:00.

In all pursuits the Student Government Association will strive to preserve a meeting ground of peace and education in which all may prosper."


Apply for the SGA Scholarship today! Applications are due September 28th. The SGA Scholarship Fund was established by the Webster University Student Government Association to recognize student leaders and promote academic excellence. Applicants must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or above. Current elected officers or senators of the Student Government Association are not eligible to apply.

SGA Elections

Regular elections occur during the Fall Semester for At-Large Senators and the Spring semester for Academic Senators and Executive Board members.  Students may apply for mid-year openings by completing an Application and reading the Campaign Rules.
