Elections will be held April 14-17, 2008. These positions run the entire 2008-09 academic year.

ARTICLE VI of the SGA Constitution states:
Election of Officers
Section 3: Members wishing to pursue an elected position must be a currently enrolled student in good standing. Good standing is defined as maintaining a Webster University cumulative GPA of a 2.0 and not on academic or judicial probation.
Those students seeking a position on SGA will have their academic records checked by the Director of the University Center and Student Activities to confirm good standing. This information will remain confidential.
Job Descriptions
The President shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Shall chair General Meetings of the SGA Voting Body and meetings of the Executive Board. Shall appoint members to ad hoc and external standing committees, and shall submit a recommendation for permanent appointments to SGA internal standing committees to the Executive Board for ratification by a majority vote. Shall enforce the bylaws of SGA. Shall communicate with the administration of Webster University for the purpose of advocating student initiatives. Shall have authority to represent and/or act on the behalf of the Students of Webster University, subject to ratification by the SGA Voting Body by simple majority. Shall give a full accounting to SGA of information that the President may be privy to, relevant to matters that come before SGA for consideration and review. Shall be a member of the Executive Board.
The Vice-President shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Shall perform the duties of the President in his/her absence. Shall assist the President in the performance of his/her duties. Shall chair the Information Systems Committee. Shall chair the Student Grant Fund Committee. Shall be a member of the Executive Board.
The Comptroller shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Shall perform the duties of the President in the absence of the President and Vice-President. Shall chair the Budget Committee. Shall enforce the policies and procedures of the Budget Committee, in the course of due process, in cooperation with the SGA advisors. Shall be held to the highest standard of accountability to the Student of Webster University by SGA and shall make timely reports to the Executive Board and the SGA Voting Body pursuant to this duty. Shall be a member of the Executive Board.
The Secretary shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Shall provide to the SGA a recording of the minutes of meetings. Shall establish and maintain a library of minutes, agendas, and a legislative history. Shall be a member of the Executive Board. Shall establish and maintain active correspondence with other necessary institutions at the direction of SGA. Shall be a member of the Information Systems Committee.
The Sergeant-at-Arms shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Shall carry out the actions of enforcement of appropriate conduct at meetings and the laws of the SGA. Shall submit a written report to SGA Senate for such actions directed by the President. Shall be a member of the Executive Board. Shall chair the Elections Committee.
The Director of Information Technology shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Shall be responsible for developing and maintaining the SGA website. Shall update the SGA website with the latest minutes and announcements. Shall assist the SGA Advisor in updating and maintaining the SGA group on the Webster Connections website. Shall be a member of the Executive Board. Shall be a member of the Communications Committee.
The Director of Public Relations shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Shall identify and resolve any communications issues: a) Between SGA and Webster University and b) Between members of SGA (with assistance of the Executive Board). Shall increase and maintain the recognition of the SGA name. Shall promote any and all events sponsored by SGA. Shall update the communications board on an every other week basis. Shall be member of the Executive Board. Shall be a chair of the Communications Committee
The Senators and Officers shall have duties as set forth in the following:
Must attend regular SGA meetings. The SGA meets every other Tuesday during the Fall and Spring semesters at 3:00. Must serve on at least 1 SGA Committee and 2 University Committees. (A listing of committees is available on the SGA website at www.webster.edu/sga) Must submit regular reports to the SGA President and SGA voting body on matters discussed and meetings attended related to SGA. All members must be available to attend SGA retreats that will be held on the first Sunday after the first day of classes. Members should be available for every SGA meeting during the Tuesday 3:00-5:00 time.
