Graduate Student Admission
Applicants
considered for admission to Webster
University must have earned a
baccalaureate degree from an institution
accredited by one of the regional
accrediting agencies. An official
transcript from the degree-granting
institution must be sent to:

The graduate application consists of the
following requirements:
Application Form
The application form is also
available during the initial
advising session with an academic
advisor.
Application Fee: There is a
$50 non-refundable application fee
required to process either
application from. This fee covers
the cost of initiating and
completing the student's admission
file and establishing an official
student file in the Office of the
Registrar. The application will not
be processed without this fee.
Graduate
Student Acceptance
A student who has applied and whose
official undergraduate transcript has
not been received by the main campus in
St. Louis, Missouri, may be
provisionally accepted to the graduate
program. An official transcript from the
institution awarding the baccalaureate
degree must be received by the end of
the first term of enrollment.
Transcripts issued to students are not
considered official transcripts for
admission purposes. Official transcripts
should be delivered to the student's
local area administrator first, who will
then forward the transcript to the main
campus.
Degree-seeking students who do not have
their transcripts on file by the
conclusion of their first term of
enrollment will not be allowed to enroll
for additional classes.
On receipt of the official transcript
from the institution awarding the
baccalaureate degree, the student will
receive full acceptance to the graduate
program.
Advancement
to Candidacy
Students are advanced to candidacy
status after successfully completing 12
credit hours of graduate credit with
grades of B- or better. In the M.B.A.
program and other specialized programs,
courses required as prerequisites to the
program do not count toward the 12
credit hours required for advancement.

Transfer
of Credit
Transfer credit must be relevant to the
specific master's degree discipline the
student is pursuing. A maximum of 12
credit hours of relevant graduate credit
from other regionally accredited
institutions or professional military
education may be transferred into a
student's graduate degree program,
subject to evaluation and approval. Only
9 credit hours of transfer credit are
allowed for students in the 36 hour
M.B.A. Only credit with a grade of 'B'
or above will be considered for
transfer. Credit which has been applied
toward a previous degree will not be
considered for transfer. Credit
transcripted in quarter hours will be
transferred using a 2/3 conversion
factor.
