Webster University is an independent, comprehensive,
non-denominational, international institution with undergraduate
and graduate programs in the liberal arts, the fine and
performing arts, teacher education and business and management.
Founded in 1915 in St. Louis, Missouri, Webster now has more
that 100 campuses serving 22,000 students in the United States,
Europe, and Asia. Webster maintains small class sizes to provide
students individual attention and opportunities for interaction
to encourage academic growth and personal development. The
university designs and structures programs that blend
theoretical and practical knowledge and maintains excellence in
teaching as its primary purpose.
Webster University has offered courses in Brevard County since
1993 and opened the Merritt Island Campus in 1995. In March
1997, the campus expanded to the Palm Bay area and in 2002
opened full-service campuses at Brevard Community College in
Palm Bay and on Patrick AFB. Classes are also offered in Daytona
Beach, Melbourne, and for badged employees only onsite at
Northrop Grumman Corporation in Melbourne and Kennedy Space
Center. More than 1,600
Brevard residents have graduated from Webster University during
its fourteen years on the Space Coast.
Webster University is accredited by The Higher Learning
Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and
Schools, Commission on Institutions of Higher Education, 30
North LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois 60602-2504,
1-800-621-7440. This accreditation, first awarded in 1925,
includes undergraduate and graduate levels at all locations
where the University offers programs.
