Community Service Involvement (CSI)

Reflection Summary

Write a reflection paper that “sums up” and documents your CSI experience this year. Please use the following outline and questions as a guide to the content of your paper. Remember: This paper is intended to summarize your experience. Please answer the following questions:

•  Evaluate your involvement, both in terms of your personal impressions and the feedback you received from others.

•  How do you evaluate your own performance in your CSI?

•  What did you set out to accomplish?

•  What progress were you able to make?

•  What outcomes, successes, or failures did you experience?

•  What was your greatest accomplishment?

•  Did CSI meet your own personal expectations?

•  Discuss the impact, both on others and yourself, of your CSI.

•  What impact did you have on the community through your CSI?

•  How do you feel about your growth and learning during the CSI?

•  What new things did you learn about yourself?

•  What areas of your leadership did you improve?

•  How has your community service prepared you for future leadership opportunities?

Reflection papers must be typed, double-spaced, and be about 2-3 pages long or more. These papers must be completed within two weeks of the completion of your CSI experience to receive credit for this component of the WebsterLEADS program.
