Services Offered
Webster University provides most services at no cost to all students.


Blood Pressure Monitoring - No Cost

An automatic Blood Pressure Machine located outside of the Health Services Office, Loretto Hall 112. Nurses are also available during business hours to take and record your blood pressure.


Doctor and Dentist Referrals - No Cost
Health Services has an extensive list of providers in the St. Louis area in many different specialties. All providers come highly recommended by faculty, staff, and/or students. If you have a provider that you feel we should refer to let us know. We will contact the provider and possibly place them on our referral list.

Emergency Care - No Cost
Life Threatening Conditions - Call 911 and Public Safety at ext. 6911, 24 hours a day. For emergencies at the Webster Groves Campus, Public Safety will respond to the scene. Public Safety is trained in Advanced CPR skills through the American Red Cross.

Non-Life Threatening Conditions - During business hours, contact Health Services at ext. 6922 or report to Loretto Hall 112. Health Services is equipped to handle emergency situations and non-emergency medical situations.

The American Red Cross defines Life Threatening Conditions as any one of the following: unconscious victim; chest pains; choking victim; trouble breathing; burns to the head, neck, face, and/or genitals; severe abdominal pains that do not go away, severe bleeding, and seizures.


Flu Shots
Each October Health Services administers flu shots. The flu shot CANNOT make you sick. The vaccine is made from a killed virus. We do recommend that you be well when you receive the vaccine in order to give your body a chance to build immunities. Health Services and the American College Health Association recommend flu shots for all students, faculty, and staff. Health Brochures - No Cost
Health brochures are available on hundreds of topics. They are located just outside Health Services, Loretto Hall 112.

Health Insurance
Health Services offers insurance for students and their spouses/domestic partners/dependents. For more information visit our Health Insurance page.

Immunizations
- Hepatitis A - $50.00 (per dose)
- Hepatitis B - $75.00 (per dose)
- Meningitis - $100.00 (per dose)
- MMR II - $60.00 (per dose)
- Tetanus/Diphtheria - $50.00 (per dose)
- Typhoid - $60.00 (per dose)
- Varicella - $100.00 (per dose)

Nurse Assessments - No Cost
Nurses are available during business hours. Nurses offer education, Over-The-Counter Medication, follow-up care, care for on-going medical issues, immunizations, blood pressure monitoring, allergy injections, medical consultations, referrals, and help with any other medical issue.

Pregnancy Test
Health Services offers pregnancy tests ($5). These are the same tests you can get over the counter from the pharmacy.

Self-Care - No Cost
If you are not feeling well and are in need of Over-The-Counter Medication, you can receive a one time dose of medication without seeing the nurse. Self-Care is available during business hours in Health Services, Loretto Hall 112. For additional items, that may be purchased, click here.

Tuberculosis Test (PPD Test)
Health Services offers a TB skin test for $20. Once the test is given you will need to return to Health Services 48-72 hours later to have it read. We will provide you with documentation showing the results of the test.
