Hints for Parents ...

  • Black History Month Events
  • This month begins the busiest time for events on campus. There are many things to do socially as well as related to one’s major. Students should look around, get involved.
  • One of the most popular activities during this time is the recreational bowling league, sponsored by Campus Activities.
  • Student Athlete Advisory Board meets often. Encourage your son or daughter to attend a meeting and get involved.
  • Residence Life summer staff applications available.
  • If you son or daughter has an interest/idea for program, encourage them to work with their RA to develop it.
  • If your student is undecided or is thinking of changing majors, encourage him or her to go to Career Services to discuss potential options.
  • This is a great time for students to develop a resume and start applying for summer internships and/or part-time jobs. Students can schedule appointments with career advisors by calling Career Services at (314) 968-6982.
