About Staying Connected | FAFSA Dear Parents, Is your student interested in Work Study funding? In order to be eligible for Federal Work Study funds, you and your student must submit the Free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The 2008-2009 FAFSA is available on January 1, 2008. The fastest and easiest way to complete the FAFSA is online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Students must complete the FAFSA to apply for federal financial aid for the 2008-2009 school year. It is best to submit the FAFSA as early as possible. However, the priority filing date for Webster University is March 1, 2008. If you file your FAFSA by the priority deadline, then it ensures that your application will be reviewed before priority funds are depleted (such as Work Study funds). Work Study funds provide students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while they are currently enrolled at Webster University. If your student does not receive a Work Study award, there are other student employment options for your student. The Student Employment Program serves all Webster students, regardless of their financial need. Visit the Career Services website and click on the link for students for more information: http://www.webster.edu/careers/. Please feel free to contact the Financial Aid Office for more information regarding the FAFSA. The toll free number is 1-800-983-4623. For questions regarding student employment, contact me at econdon32@webster.edu or (314) 246-7641. Sincerely, Liz Condon |
