Staying Connected: Any advice for parents?
Krista Keirnan: Be excited about the new experiences your students are having and appreciate that it’s a whole new experience for them too.

SC: Any advice for freshmen?
KK: Be involved and do things that will give you a worthwhile break from homework, but remember what you’re here for, which is learning. Do your best not to procrastinate and put school first.

SC: What has been your best on campus experience?
KK: In no particular order: declaring Webster a Campus of ONE, late night Steak ‘n Shake with all my new friends, and showing my boyfriend around campus.

SC: What has been your worst on campus experience?
KK: Realizing that I can’t do it all and that homework takes longer than you think it does.

SC: Is your current workload with classes more or less than you thought it would be?
KK: It’s more than I thought it would be, but when my time management skills get better it won’t be a problem.

SC: What do your weekends usually consist of doing?
KK: weekends I go home to do laundry with my roommate because she’s from St. Louis. Other weekends I just kind of relax, do homework, and recuperate for the week ahead. I also go to whatever activities are happening on campus.

SC: What do you miss most about high school and/or living at home?
KK: It kills me that I don’t get to see my sisters. And I miss my teachers. And I miss my best friend. That’s about it.

SC: Do you have an on campus job? If so, where/how many hours a week?
KK: Yes, I work for Dr. Vicki McMullen in the School of Education, for 12 hours a week.

SC: Favorite aspects of on campus life?
KK: There’s always something going on, and everyone is friendly—absolutely everyone.

SC: What’s on your desk right now?
KK: The wonderful computer that my boyfriend and his parents supplied for me, books from all my classes, Trident Fun Gum, a cup full of pencils and pens, and all my cd’s—my focus music.

Staying Connected: Any advice for freshmen?
Richard Ogunsalu: Don’t let your kids come home so much so that they can get the full college experience like I am.

SC: Any advice for freshmen?
RO: Go to sleep on time.

SC: What has been your best on campus experience?
RO: New Student Orientation; I had the best orientation leaders.

SC: What has been your worst on campus experience?
RO: I haven’t had one yet; I have a lot of fun here.

SC: Is your current workload with classes more or less than you thought it would be?
RO: It’s not hard at all; it’s very independent and there’s less authority telling you what to do, so I have to be on top of it myself.

SC: What do your weekends usually consist of doing?
RO: Just hanging out with my teammates and dancing. And studying.

SC: What do you miss most about high school and/or living at home?
RO: I miss after school beach parties, even if it was a Wednesday. And I miss knowing every person that walks by me.

SC: Do you have an on campus job? If so, where/how many hours a week?
RO: Yes, I work about 10-15 hours a week helping out at athletic events.

SC: Favorite aspects of on campus life?
RO: Having a lot of people around all the time. I like the independence. I like being able to roll out of bed and walk right to class. You can get everywhere in five minutes.

SC: What’s on your desk right now?
RO: There are tons of pieces of paper, including tonight’s homework, my toothbrush, a picture of Michael Jordan, some protein shakes, about five plastic cups, and seven or eight books.
