Webster University Names Paul Carney Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs

Paul Carney
Dr. Paul B. Carney has been named Vice President of Enrollment Management and Student Affairs at Webster University. Carney currently serves as Vice President for Enrollment Management at Drury University in Springfield, Mo.

“Paul Carney brings to this position 24 years of experience, and skilled and successful leadership in enrollment management and student affairs at both public and private institutions,” said Webster University President Dr. Elizabeth J. Stroble. “He has been described as innovative, focused, savvy, seasoned, dynamic and incredibly genuine. His collaborative management style, dedication to student success, and attention to data-driven decision-making are a perfect match for Webster’s vision and mission.”

Prior to joining Drury University, Carney served as Director of Undergraduate Admissions at Oklahoma State University and as Associate Director for Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Notre Dame. Carney also spent 12 years in administration at the University of Dallas, where he was Director of Enrollment Management and Institutional Planning.

Carney received a B.A. degree in History from Kansas Newman College and an M.A. degree in Educational Measurement and Testing from Wichita State University. He also holds a doctorate degree in Educational Research and Evaluation from Florida State University. Carney is active in the Missouri and National Association for College Admission Counseling. He also serves as chairman of the board of McAuley Counseling Services Inc., a Springfield, Mo.-based nonprofit organization that provides accessible and affordable quality mental health services.
