A Good Opportunity For Resident Students: The RA Selection Process is transforming

Sarah Tetley, Assistant Director of Housing and Residential Life

We know that your son or daughter is more than meets the eye and since next year's selection process is well underway, we hope you'll encourage your student to apply for a Resident Assistant position with the Department of Housing and Residential Life. As an RA, your student will be part of a well-trained, team-focused and diverse staff that makes intentional connections with residents and serves as role models for the University residential community. RAs have the unique opportunity to create a positive living environment while also influencing and leading residents both on campus and off. If these opportunities appeal to you and your student then we hope you'll inspire their participation in the application process for the 2008-2009 academic school year.

The process begins when your student attends one of our informational sessions to receive an application packet. These sessions are taking place:

November 12 @ 7:00 P.M. in the WVA Clubhouse
November 13 @ 12: 30 P.M. in the UC presentation room
November 14 @ 9:30 P.M. in the West Hall Multi Purpose room

The application is due January 16, 2008 by 4:30 P.M. to West Hall office of Housing and Residential Life. Please encourage your son or daughter to attend an information session to find out whether this position is right for him/her. Thank you for helping us create the best possible staff for the 2008-2009 school year.

If you have any questions regarding the selection process please contact Sarah Tetley at sarahtetley29@webster.edu
