Living on Campus

Welcome to your future home at Webster University!

It is a well-known fact that new college students who live on campus have higher G.P.A.'s, become more involved in campus activities, and are more likely to earn a diploma than those who live off-campus.

To maximize this advantage, Webster University has built two new residence halls at the main campus in the historic St. Louis suburb of Webster Groves. These halls opened in Fall 2006. All "out-of-town" freshmen at the main campus are required to live on campus for their first two years. "Out-of-town" students are defined as those living outside a 35-mile radius of the main campus.

Student housing includes traditional suite-style residence halls and apartments. For the 2007-08 academic year, housing options for first-time freshman include West Hall in the New Residence Hall Complex and Loretto Hall. Transfer students, as well as returning sophomores, juniors, seniors and graduate students may apply for housing in the Webster Village Apartments, Loretto Hall or East Hall in the New Residence Hall Complex.

For more information about the differences in these living options, check out the room size comparison chart.

Applications now being accepted!

Campus housing applications are generally accepted throughout the year; however, given the popularity of living on campus and the variety of living options, the general rule is, "the earlier the application is made, the better."

Freshmen applications for housing need to coincide with application for admission to the University. Current and returning students can re-apply for housing for an upcoming year during the fall semester of the current academic year.
