Move In Guide
Resident Parking
All residential students are permitted to bring vehicles to campus. Parking for all residents of Loretto Hall, East Hall, and West Hall Halls will be located in the Garden Park Plaza, Webster University's main parking facility. The rate for resident students is $75 per year. The Plaza, which is also home to the Webster Bookstore, Career Services, Academic Advising and Graduate & Evening Student Admissions, is located on Garden Avenue, just past the Webster Village Apartments. The Plaza is equipped with over 750 parking spaces, so residents will seldom need to worry about finding a space. Although the area is well lit, there is always a Public Safety escort stationed in the garage to accompany any student back to the residence halls at night when requested.
Residence Hall students can purchase permits for the Garden Park Plaza parking garage on move-in day at One Stop Shopping. Webster Village Apartment (WVA) residents can obtain permits for the WVA lot when they move-in.
Residence Halls

Webster Village Apartments
Yellow Permits
This permit allows our students who live in the Webster Village Apartments to park in the Village Apts. parking lot and the Garden Park Plaza garage. This permit does not entitle you to park in any of the flat lots or Hazel Ave. If you choose to park your vehicle in any other lot than the Village parking lot or the Garden Park Plaza garage it will result in a ticket, boot, or possible tow.
$120 per year (included in rent)
Surface Lot Permits
For some residents, parking near the residence halls may be an absolute necessity. If you believe you have a situation that merits access to parking closer to your residence hall, you may petition to receive a surface lot parking permit, which costs $120 per year. Your petition should include your reason for needing a surface lot permit, details about the situation, and reasons why a space in the Plaza will not suffice. Please note that this permit does not guarantee a space like the Plaza permit does. The surface lot permit only allows you parking access to lots adjacent to the residence halls where space is very limited. These lots are often full throughout the day, so if you are granted this permit, please understand that finding a space will typically be difficult.
All petitions must be received by the Office of Housing & Residential Life no later than noon on the first Friday of the semester. Petitions may be submitted in one of two ways:
- via email to housing@webster.edu (please put Parking Petition in the subject line)
- via letter to the Office of Housing & Residential Life (103 Loretto Hall)
If you have not received a response to your petition within one week, please contact the Office of Housing & Residential Life by phone at 314-968-7030 or by email at housing@webster.edu. You will be able to pick up your parking permit immediately following the approval of your request. The permit fee will be billed to your student account.
