How To Apply for Study Abroad Programs

In order to apply for a Webster University Study Abroad program, applicants must meet the following criteria at the time of participation in the program:

Undergraduate Students

  • Earned 15 Semester Credit Hours, (for Webster students, 15 credit hours must be earned at Webster University)
  • Good academic standing (2.0 GPA)
  • Good social standing
  • Good financial standing

Graduate Students

  • Earned 9 semester credit hours (for Webster students, 9 graduate credit hours must be earned at Webster University)
  • Good academic standing (3.0 GPA)
  • Good social standing
  • Good financial standing

Students who do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements at the time of application should submit an additional statement telling when the requirements will be met (must be before program start).


Application Process & Deadlines

Students must submit a completed application by the deadlines listed below. Once submitted, applications are reviewed and applicants are notified via email of their application status. Please note: Incomplete applications will not be processed or reviewed until all materials have been submitted.

Fall March 1 March 15
Spring September 1 September 15

Study abroad deadlines are the same each year. OSA starts accepting applications no earlier than 30 days prior to the deadline. Short-term program deadlines vary; please visit the specific program brochure for dates.  


Note: If you are a Webster student studying at an international campus and wishing to study abroad at a U.S. campus, an international student at a U.S. campus wishing to study abroad at an international campus, or a student at any campus wishing to transfer to a campus abroad for the remainder of your degree, you must apply through International Services.
