Study Abroad 101 gives you all of the basics for studying abroad with Webster. Learn everything from our different campus options and destinations, to financial aid and scholarships, to starting your online application. If you're interested in study abroad and aren't sure where to begin, let Study Abroad 101 be your starting point to the experience of a lifetime.

Study Abroad Pre- Departure Orientation
Date: Wednesday, November 13
Where: Sunnen Lounge in the University Center
Times: General Session: 9:00 am - 11:00 am or 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Campus Specific: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm or 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Why: Attendance at this event is required for all students going abroad in the Spring 2020 programs. The orientation will cover topics such as health, safety, cultural adjustments, packing, handling money, and other program logistics that will help prepare you to study abroad. You will also have the opportunity to talk with study abroad alumni who have participated in your program.

Spring Scholarship Recipient Reception

This is a reception to recognize study abroad students who have been awarded Webster study abroad scholarships for Spring 2020 and Spring Break 2020. The event will include a welcome by the President's Office and a group photo. Light refreshments and drinks will be served.

International Education Week: Italian Cooking Class
Date: Wednesday, November 20th
Where: ISB Cooking Lab
Time: 12 pm -1:30 pm
Learn to prepare an authentic Italian meal with Webster's own Professor Julia Masetti and your fellow staff members. Spots are limited to 20 people so make sure to register by November 10th.

December 2019

Spring Break applications deadline is December 15th
Application deadline for Spring Break 2020 faculty-led short term study abroad. These programs are taught online during the spring semester with the study abroad component taking place over Spring Break. Program locations include China, Ghana, Cuba, Germany, and New Mexico. There is still time to get in an application. Apply here!
