International Education Week

International Education Week 2018International Education Week (IEW) is an annual nationwide celebration of international education and exchange. It is a joint initiative that started in 2000 through the U.S. Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education. Colleges and universities across the country host globally themed events and activities throughout the week. The goal is to foster and celebrate international experiences for today's college students, as well as the larger campus community.

Check out the great events below and join in the celebration! IEW 2018 is a collaborative effort organized by a wide array of departments and offices at Webster University.

Alive with culture, color, cuisine, art, dance, and music, this event is an annual celebration of international education at Fontbonne University. Celebrating the international student body and featuring WINS and other study abroad programs, the International Bazaar has a little of something for everyone. Spring 2019 Study Abroad Pre-Departure Orientation
Morning and Afternoon Sessions 
Sunnen Lounge
Orientation is mandatory for all Webster St. Louis students and will last approximately two hours. This program introduces students to useful information on adjusting to a new environment, as well as practical information on health and safety matters abroad. You will attend a general session for the first hour and then move to campus-specific sessions for the second hour where you will have the chance to meet with study abroad alumni who have studied at the campus you will be attending. During the campus-specific sessions with study abroad alumni, parents will have the opportunity to attend an open question session with OSA staff. You will receive a notice from the OSA regarding the date and time of the orientation.  Students can bring up to two guests.  Parents are encouraged to attend.

Uniting Communities and Countering Hate: An Interfaith Panel

Join religious leaders from around St. Louis for a panel discussion on religious diversity and inclusion. The panel will focus on how individuals found/grew in their faith traditions and how interfaith experiences shaped them. Panelists will also discuss how their views on larger global issues are shaped by their faith and interfaith perspectives. 
The panel discussion will be moderated by Sr. Annie Stevens from Webster University and will include:

Spring Break Faculty-Led Program Deadline
All Day
Application deadline for Spring Break 2019 faculty-led short-term study abroad. These programs are taught online during the spring semester with the study abroad component taking place over Spring Break. Program locations include Ecuador, Italy, Ireland, Thailand, and Vienna.
