International Education Week

International Education Week (IEW) is an annual nation-wide celebration of international education and exchange that begins Monday, Nov. 18 and runs through Friday, November 22. It is an opportunity to "celebrate the benefits of education and exchange worldwide," as defined by the US Department of State (https://iew.state.gov/). In order to further Webster University's global mission, and celebrate its international community, a number of events will take place at Webster during IEW 2019. All faculty, staff, and students are welcome to participate in the programming.

Uzbekistan Lunch and Learn

As part of the International Education Week 2019 calendar of events, Webster faculty and staff are welcome to attend a lunch time session that will provide an overview of Webster's newest international campus in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Learn about how the campus was established, its academic program offerings, student body as well as some facts about the culture and history of Uzbekistan. A pizza lunch will be provided.

WINS Partner Visit - Fontbonne University Bazar

Alive with culture, color, cuisine, art, dance and music, this event is an annual celebration of international education at Fontbonne University. Celebrating the international student body and featuring WINS and other study abroad programs, the International Bazaar has a little of something for everyone.

Spring Scholarship Recipients Reception

This is a reception to recognize study abroad students who have been awarded Webster study abroad scholarships for Spring 2020 semester, Spring 1 and 2. The event will include a welcome by the Provost's Office and a group photo. Light refreshments and drinks will be served.

All faculty, students, and staff are invited to the next session of the Equity and Access Faculty Conversation Series. This session will focus on supporting international students and will be held on Thursday, November 21, 12-1 in the Library Conference Room (Library 120). Pizza will be served.
This session continues a series of monthly gatherings to discuss crucial issues of justice and inclusion in higher education, with the goal of helping all Webster students achieve their academic goals.
