Through the study of film and a variety of diverse cultural productions (literature, music, plastic arts, architecture, etc.) this course will examine the ever-present impact of the Cuban Revolution on the country's social and cultural development.

Cross-listed courses available (five seats each): FLST 3160.W1, ISTL 2550.W6 or ILC 2150.W6.

There are no prerequisites.

10/18-Havana: Old Havana tour, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes
10/19: Havana: Casa Hemingway
10/20: Havana: Talks at Universidad de La Habana; Museo de la Revolución
10/21: Havana: Talks at Universidad de La Habana; Ferry to Regla or Guanabacoa; site visits to Havana suburbs
10/22: Havana: Fundación del Nuevo Cine Latino Americano
10/23: Travel from Havana to Trinidad; tour Trinidad
10/24: Visit Sancti Spiritus; return to Trinidad
10/25: Return to Havana; Vedado; La Rampa; Coelia
10/26: Leave Havana
