Global engagement and technological advances are altering business strategies in operation,
communication, customer relationship, and services over internet. Information technology
lies at the heart of e-commerce and its global reach. The course will provide students
with opportunities to gain understanding of global e-commerce with its major driving
forces in information technology. The study will cover features of e-commerce, information
technology foundations, ethical and culture issues that may impact running global
e-commerce. The international tour portion of the course will help student better
experience and understand issues in global e-commerce activities and the role of information
technology in e-commerce implementation.
