Application Deadlines

Semester/Term deadlines are the same each year, while short-term program deadlines vary.*
The Office of Study Abroad (OSA) does not accept incomplete applications.
OSA starts accepting applications no earlier than 15 days prior to the deadline.

Minimum Criteria for Acceptance
At the time of participation in the program, undergraduate applicants must have:
- 15 Semester Credit Hours, (for Webster students, 15 credit hours must be earned at Webster University), and;
- Good academic standing
At the time of participation in the program, graduate applicants must have:
- 9 semester credit hours (for Webster students, 9 credit hours must be earned at Webster University), and
- Good academic standing
Students who do not meet the minimum eligibility requirements at the time of application should submit an additional statement telling when the requirements will be met (must be before program start).
Application Procedure for Webster University Students
To participate in a Study Abroad program, both graduate and undergraduate students at Webster University must do the following:
- Complete and submit page 5 of Study Abroad 101;
- Submit the Study Abroad Application; and
- Submit the Webster World Traveler Program form with passport-sized photo attached.†

Incomplete applications will not be accepted. Once the Office of Study Abroad receives your completed application, you will be contacted to arrange an individual interview with an advisor. After completion of the interview, your application will be reviewed and you will receive notice of your acceptance status by mail, generally within two weeks.
Application Procedure for Affiliate Students
Students from a university in our Webster International Network of Schools (WINS) apply as an affiliate student.‡
To apply for a Study Abroad program, both graduate and undergraduate affiliate students must do the following:
- Submit Study Abroad Application,
- Mail official university transcripts to the Office of Study Abroad,
- Submit the Webster WINS Award form with passport-sized photo attached.
Incomplete applications will not be processed and reviewed until all materials have been submitted.
Once the Office of Study Abroad receives your completed application, it will be reviewed and you will receive notice of your acceptance status, generally within two weeks.

Application Procedure for Visiting Students
Students outside of the Webster International Networks of Schools (WINS) are encouraged to apply to study for one of our programs. To apply for a Study Abroad program, both graduate and undergraduate visiting students must do the following:
- Submit Study Abroad application, including $30 application fee payable to Webster University; and
- Mail official university transcripts to the Office of Study Abroad.
Incomplete applications will not be processed and reviewed until all materials have been submitted.
Once the Office of Study Abroad receives your completed application, it will be reviewed and you will receive notice of your acceptance status by mail, generally within two weeks.
Late Applicants
Late applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and acceptance cannot be guaranteed.
Along with completing regular application forms, all applications submitted after the deadline must include the following:
- $165 security deposit (checks made payable to Webster University);
- 4 passport-size photos.
If Webster University cannot accommodate your application, your security deposit will be returned to you. If you are accepted to the program, the security deposit will be held until the successful completion of your program, at which time you may apply for a rebate of the deposit.
Once the Office of Study Abroad receives your completed application, deposit, and photos you will be contacted to arrange an individual interview with an Advisor. After completion of the interview your application will be reviewed and you will receive notice of your acceptance status, generally within two weeks.
