What is an emergency?

Political emergency is defined as an attempted or actual uprising against an existing government, significant acts of violence towards Americans, severe rioting, civil unrest, war or any crisis situation or local condition that may have an adverse impact on the safety or security of Webster students, faculty or staff.

Medical emergency is any medical condition which threatens life or limb of Webster students, faculty or staff, such difficulty breathing, uncontrolled bleeding, possible serious bone fractures, major burns, heart attack symptoms, e.g., chest pressure/pain, shock symptoms, e.g., confusion, disorientation, cool/clammy skin.

Natural disaster is defined as earthquakes, typhoons, floods, hurricanes and other similar acts that may cause significant damage or danger or may have an adverse impact on the safety or security of Webster students, faculty or staff.
