    The Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (UAG), Mexico's oldest private university, was founded in 1935. UAG is coeducational, independent, and autonomous.  The University is proudly one hundred percent Mexican but also able to emphasize its focus on international education.

    UAG has a current enrollment of 15,000 students, 85 percent Mexican while 15 percent come from 25 different countries. The institution employs 780 full-time and 640 part-time faculty with excellent credentials. The University offers 50 undergraduate majors, 33 areas of graduate specialization, 20 master's programs and 3 doctorates.
