Housing requests are made at the time of application in the study abroad application.  You may wish to indicate whether you would prefer a single or a double room, or a particular roommate.  We will attempt to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee this.

All students live in the Hugo De Grootstraat Building. This residence was built in 1895 is the new home for Webster Leiden housing students. This newly remodeled dorm located only 15 minutes by foot from Webster University will house over 200 international students from the surrounding area.

Each room is equipped with a loft bed, desk, chairs, and wardrobe. Most rooms are single rooms and shared rooms are very limited. Internet connection is provided in each room along with a built in safety box for valuables.

The Webster Hall houses 16 students that will share a community room, two kitchens, four shower stalls, and several washers and dryers. Linens and pillows are provided for and the kitchens are “semi” furnished, a personal locked cabinet is provided for each student as well.

The hall is very private and secure. Webster students must use a key card to enter the building, the Webster floor, and each room. There is a permanent caretaker on the premises day and night and Webster provides an RA to handle all student inquiries.

Telephones are not provided in individual rooms. Most study abroad students choose to purchase a mobile phone. A GSM phone in Holland can be purchased very cheaply and the account ‘topped up’ on a pay as you go basis. Used phones are the most affordable option and there are many stores in Leiden which sell second hand mobile phones.
