After submitting your study abroad application to the Office of Study Abroad in St. Louis, you will be given a housing application form to reserve your room. You may wish to indicate whether you would prefer a single or a double room, or a particular roommate. Webster Leiden will attempt to accommodate all requests, but cannot guarantee this.
All students will live in the Living and Learning Center, located just across the street from Webster Leiden’s main building, in the heart of the old city center. The building was built in 1929 and is a sound example in both its exterior and interior design of the stylish and easy recognizable architecture of Rijksmonument (National Monument). The location has always been used for educational purposes. It was initially used as a vocational school for young women and most recently housed a language school. In keeping with this educational tradition, it is now home to Webster Leiden’s Living and Learning Center.
There are 50 private studio apartments available as well as teaching facilities, a private courtyard, a work out center equipped with a changing area and showers, and several community rooms for convenience. The Center will offer on site resident assistance and the office of Student Services is located inside the main entrance.
Upon arrival, every student will personally be met by an RA to check into their assigned room and go over inventory and condition of the room. At that time they will also be asked to sign a contract that binds him/her to the rules and regulations found in our Student Service Housing Policy Handbook. All normal dorm rules apply and contracts are subject to review every term. We reserve the right to end a contract if the student is under any violations.
Webster Leiden aims to provide clean, secure, and enjoyable student housing that all students can enjoy!
