Leiden, the Netherlands, is located approximately 30 miles from Amsterdam by train. Leiden has the distinction of being the oldest university town in the Netherlands, which fosters an environment of shops, cafes and cultural opportunities that serve the students who make up a large portion of the town's population.

Leiden's many attractions and amenities are accessible by foot, but students often rent or purchase a bicycle to make commuting through town quicker and more convenient.  Next to walking, bicycling is the most popular form of transit.

As the only American education in Leiden offering graduate and undergraduate degrees, Webster University enjoys the many advantages of being in a town whose primary business is students.  Located along one of Leiden's many canals, the Webster campus houses classrooms, offices, a library, and a student lounge

The intimate campus with a students population of 450 students, small class sizes, and the personal environment mean that it's easy to get to know most of your fellow students, as well as faculty and staff.  Webster University Leiden fits well into this compact and intellectually rich community.
