Webster's Global Commitment
Reflecting Webster University’s commitment to global citizenship, students of all majors can choose from a wide variety of short-term courses. The College of Arts and Sciences offers faculty-led programs focusing on Human Rights, International Law, Spanish language and more. The Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts offers various faculty-led programs in Vienna. Many students choose to maximize a full-length study abroad experience by enrolling in a short-term program that takes place while they are already overseas.
The George Herbert Walker School of Business and Technology offers a special award, designated for students who are interested in enhancing their business education by participating in a study abroad opportunity. The Walker International Travel Award, covering up to $1,000 towards students’ airfare, was created by a special fund from Ambassador George Herbert Walker. Students who are actively pursuing a degree from the Walker School, and who are enrolled in business or management or technology courses, can take advantage of these opportunities, and apply now! Walker programs above include an asterisk (*).

How do I apply?
Applications can be downloaded from each individual course page, or be picked up in the Office of Study Abroad. Applications must be turned in or emailed to the Office of Study Abroad by the deadline indicated.
Only complete applications will be accepted.
Will I receive credit for these programs?
Yes. Credit is given, and grading is determined by faculty upon your successful completion of all required assignments. Course content is determined by the instructor, and is posted on the individual pages as it is made available.
Are accommodations arranged for these programs?
Yes. Accommodations are arranged, and will vary by program.
What are my costs?
Costs vary by program, and generally include tuition, airfare, books, meals and living expenses. There is a Study Abroad Program fee which will provide you with Health Insurance, a Lonely Planet guide book and an International Student Identity Card.
