    Undergraduate Students
    Cha-am/Hua-Hin

Situated between the coastal towns of Cha-am and Hua Hin, Webster University Thailand boasts a beautiful 40-acre campus where more than 400 students from over 60 countries have come to pursue their degree.

With Bangkok, Thailand's capital city, a few hours north, a regional airport and train station nearby, the best of Thailand is available to you. The King and Queen of Thailand call Hua Hin home, and it's no wonder why.

Housing is minutes away from the Gulf of Thailand. Travel to other parts of Thailand is made easy by road, rail and a regional airport. Regular shuttles take students from campus to housing, to downtown Hua Hin and Cha-am, as well as weekly excursions outside the area.

Campus Facilities include a classrooms, library, computer labs, athletic facilities and basketball court, cafeterias Study abroad students live in double rooms off campus in hotels that feature swimming pools, and restaurants.

Students either cook meals in their rooms or take advantage of the inexpensive cafeterias on campus and wonderful markets in town. For recreation, students may spend the day at the beach or enjoy the sports facilities on campus.

Optional excursions to other areas of Thailand and neighboring countries are easily arranged, and many courses integrate field trips into the academic program.

    Graduate Students
    Bangkok

Thailand's capital, Bangkok is a vibrant cosmopolitan city that attracts professionals from all over the world, both Thais and foreigners. Since they live in Bangkok, and because their busy work schedule does not permit them to travel 230 km (140 miles) to Hua Hin to attend classes, the Bangkok Center offers them a unique opportunity to complete their Masters Degree in the center of the Thai capital.

Bangkok offers Graduate Degrees (Masters) in International Relations, Masters of Media Communications and the MBA (Master of Business Administration) only while Hua Hin, with its off campus housing, offers students Undergraduate degrees and a variety of available majors. Another difference is that Bangkok Center offers courses in the evening, thereby allowing those who work to attend classroom sessions, while classes in Hua Hin usually are held during the day. Unlike Hua Hin, there is no residential campus in Bangkok, students can ask for assistance to help arrange their lodging and meals throughout the city.

Bangkok Center offers small classes (6 to 15 Students per class), thereby allowing free exchange of ideas and questions to flow between the instructor and the students. Students come from all parts of the world: Thailand (both Thais and foreigners living here), Asia, North America, Western and Eastern Europe, as well as the Middle East and Africa. They and usually are mature individuals with lots of professional and personal experiences to share with others.

    Alumni Profile

Webster University alumna Jennifer Lunney on her experience with Monk-for-a-Month, one of the many excursions available to students studying at the Cha-am campus:

My stay at the temple was an eye-opening introduction to Thai Buddhism and culture that I’ll always remember. The experience of actually being able to live at the temple, learn from the monks, and participate in cultural exchange with the other international guests was one of the greatest learning experiences of my entire time studying abroad.

Whether it was staying with a hill-tribe family in their home over the weekend, visiting the Daylight school and playing with the children, volunteer teaching English, or simply meditating in the temple grounds, every moment was an opportunity for both educational and personal enrichment that I’m so thankful to have had.

I highly recommend a temple stay with Monk-for-a-Month to anyone who is interested in experiencing the heart of Thai Buddhism and culture on a personal level.
