Webster University Participates in Recyclemania Competition
For the second year in a row, Webster University will proudly participate in the nationwide RecycleMania Tournament at competition level. RecycleMania is a contest with more than 600 colleges and universities competing to recycle the most material on their campuses. Webster will be adding reporting for two waste stream categories, organics and electronics, this year. The competition lasts from Feb. 1 to March 31. This is a great opportunity to help Webster University meet the challenge and also increase personal involvement in recycling.
Recyclemania Competition Status Update
March 25-29, Dorm and Apartment Recycling Competition - The floors of each Residence Hall (East, West, and Maria) will compete against each other to recycle the most. Webster University Apartment buildings will also compete against each other in two groups. The winning floors and the group of buildings will be determined on a per capita basis, and the winners will receive a pizza party. The contest will support the larger Recyclemania competition at Webster, but also to engage residents, increase recycling awareness, and provide new insights into recycling data collection at Webster. The contest is co-sponsored by RHA, Webster Sustainability, and Webster University Recycling.
