Information Technology - Login Issues Updates

Thank you for your continued patience while we have been addressing the account login issues that began Sunday, June 14th.  We can report that service has been restored to most systems, but action is required to be able to log in

As part of our efforts to restore service to Connections/WorldClassRoom, all authentication services were reloaded. This will require that each individual reset the password to their account using a temporary default password. Your existing password will not allow you to sign in. 

Instructions have been developed depending on the device you are using. Please select the instructions applicable to you below and review all information completely.

  • IF YOU ARE A WEBSTER STUDENT, OR YOU ARE A FACULTY OR STAFF MEMBER WHO USES THEIR PERSONAL MACHINE OR DOES NOT NEED VPN ACCESS - FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

  • IF YOU ARE A WEBSTER EMPLOYEE WHO USES A WEBSTER-ISSUED DEVICE TO ACCESS SERVICES AND/OR YOU NEED VPN ACCESS - FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS.

Please be assured that your Webster account has not been compromised and all data has remained secure and protected. 

IMPORTANT PASSWORD RESET INFORMATION & INSTRUCTIONS

Following the instructions linked above will provide the quickest access back into your account. 

  • If you need assistance with resetting your password, please contact us via one of these methods:

    ✔  Email websterconnects@webster.edu with your 7 digit Webster ID number

    ✔  Contact the IT Service Desk at 314-246-5995 or toll-free at 1-866-435-7270

 PHONE SYSTEM, EMAIL & OTHER SYSTEM AVAILABILITY:

Phone system, email and Office 365 have been fully restored.  Additionally, voicemail can be accessed from off-campus at any time by following these instructions if you do not already use Cisco Jabber:

  1. Dial 314-246-7195
  2. Enter your 4 digit Webster extension when prompted for your ID and then press #
  3. Enter your PIN when prompted and then press #
  4. This should take you into the voicemail system to access your messages.
