Computer Labs

Computer Lab image Computer labs are available across the Webster Groves campus to support teaching and learning. The labs are available to current faculty, staff and students. You must have a valid, activated Webster ID card to use the labs. Depending on the location, they offer Windows 10 and/or Mac Yosemite 10.10.5 operating systems. Computer labs and multimedia-enabled classrooms are fitted with teacher's stations, projection capabilities, "bring your own device" hookups for instructor devices, and monochrome printers, as well as a library of installed software titles. Jump drives are compatible with both instructor and student stations. Some labs also have scanners available.

When the labs are closed (please see the link below for hours), current Webster and Eden Theological Seminary faculty, staff, students, and alumni may visit the Library's Cyber Café. It is open 24 hours, seven days a week (see Cyber Café policies for more information).

Hardware and Software

Computer labs are equipped with teacher stations at the front of each room. Teacher stations are loaded with the same software as student stations and are connected to a ceiling-mounted projection unit. They are also equipped with DVD players and laptop computer cables. Instructions for using the stations are posted in each room. Software available in each computer lab can be viewed starting on the Home Campus Computer Lab Locations page. On this page, click on the room number to find software titles and versions that are installed on computers in these rooms. To search for software by title, click here. Additional software is available in all computer labs via CampusConnect (VDI). Look for the Horizon client installed on each computer to access CampusConnect.

Reporting Issues

If you discover a problem with hardware or software in a computer lab, please report this to the lab assistants, so that they may place a work order for our technicians. Please provide as much information as possible, including the lab room number, station number, software package, the operation you were performing when the error occurred, and the exact error message, if available.
