Global WAN Upgrade

About This Project

globe

Webster University recognized that there was not enough network bandwidth to utilize new technologies. The initial network was implemented in the late 1990s to 2000 and does not meet today's needs. An 18-month investigation plus vendor review and selection resulted in selecting AT&T as the vendor of choice to help resolve the problem.

Webster University and AT&T have signed a 5 year contract for Global Wide Area Network (WAN) and other managed services to implement new Global WAN connections to provide a constant reliable level of services and enable the implementation of additional services like video conferencing to enable the University's mission, vision and goal.

Recent Updates - November 7, 2013

Next steps include finishing remediation work at sites in preparation for AT&T- installing cabinets and internal cabling where needed, working with AT&T to continue cut-over sites, configuring St. Louis Internet circuit into EAB and facilitating technical discussions with International sites to coordinate work.
