Types of Workshops
Series/Certificate (S) level workshops are 90 minutes in length and take more than one workshop to cover an entire program.
These workshops should be taken in order. If you complete a series of workshops for one program (i.e. Excel 2003) you will
recieve a certificate of completion from Webster Information Technology. These are non-credit.
Productivity (P) level workshops focus on learning one particular aspect of a program, such as mail merge. These workshops are
60 minutes in length and can cover more than one program at a time. No certificate is given for completion of this type of
workshop. These are non-credit.
Brownbag (B) sessions are information discussion sessions were a member of the IT staff will be present as the subject matter
expert and lead a discussion on a particular technology topic. These are informal sessions held over lunch hours. Everyone
is invited to bring their lunch and participate in these sessions. Registration is NOT required for these sessions. These are non-credit.
