2011-12 Board Members

Michelle joined the Webster University staff in the winter of 2007 as Assistant Director of Academic Advising. Prior to coming to Webster University, Michelle worked at Washington University and the University of Illinois in both advising and admissions. Having earned a PhD in Anthropology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Michelle teaches courses in human evolution and archaeology both here at Webster and at Washington University.

Jennifer Holtmann
Associate Chair

I have worked for Webster in Information Technology for five years. I graduated from Webster in 1997 with a degree in Music Education. At the time, they were cutting music departments so I started computer training and have stayed in the computer field since. I am now getting my Masters in Inclusive Classroom. In my free time, I play with my two wonderful children, garden, read, and cook (the last three only when I have time after children. LOL).

Lori Sherrill
Secretary

Lori has worked at Webster University for six years beginning in the Financial Aid Office before moving to Academic Affairs and finally Advising where she is now a Senior Academic Advisor. This is her second year serving as WSA Secretary. Responsibilities include taking minutes at WSA meetings, monitoring the WSA email and maintaining WSA documents as well as updating and monitoring the WSA website.

Bethany Keller
Compensation Chair

In the past ten years at Webster, Bethany has held positions in International Services and Academic Advising, presently serving as a Assistant Director of the Multicultural Center and International Student Affairs. Bethany also earned her BA and MA degrees in International Relations at Webster. This is Bethany’s second year as Compensation Committee chair. Key responsibilities of the committee include coordinating the staff compensation survey, presenting a compensation proposal to the Administration annually, administering the Professional Staff Development fund, representing staff on the insurance committee, and acting as a liaison between staff and the administration on matters related to compensation and benefits packages.

Sarah Nandor
Membership Chair

Originally from Michigan, I have been employed at Webster University for over seven years. My original position was within the Graduate & Evening Student Admission Office. My current position is Director of Graduate & Transfer Student Admission, within the Office of Admission. Prior to my arrival, I worked for Maryville University as Associate Director of Admission. In August 2009, I earned my MA in Management and Leadership from Webster and was the first class to graduate from The Muny!

Tyann Cherry
Special Events Chair

Holding a BA in Photography and a MA in Media Communications, Tyann is currently a Senior Academic Advisor at the Webster Groves campus. She began her career at Webster in 2004 and has worked in the School of Business, Online Programs and Academic Advising Center. Working primarily with online students, Tyann co-founded the Academic Advising Webinar Series which deploys synchronous online training to extended site locations. Tyann also teaches as an adjunct for the School of Communications and currently serves as an advisory board member to the National Academic Advising Association webinar series and Chair of the Distance Education Advising Commission.
