IN THEIR OWN WORDS

Our Agency Partners:
“The volunteers were enthusiastic and ready to do whatever was needed. The thing that I was most pleased with -besides the great job they did- was that at the end of the day these volunteers had a new view of the world, one that included adults with developmental disabilities. One of the volunteers, who was particularly good with the clients, asked me how he might be able to continue volunteering. That was the icing on the cake for me.”

“I feel that Webster has a desire to help the community with their high standards of educational programs while also promoting community service and taking ownership of our community. I hope to work with this group in upcoming volunteer events.”

"Our group of Webster volunteers exceeded the planned outcome of our project. They overwhelmed me. We are now months ahead on our project. I am confident that the two team leaders have a very bright future in store for them. I come in contact with many college students and these two exhibit the fine qualities of time management, leadership ability and professionalism. The University should feel most proud that they are in the community serving as ambassadors."

Our Volunteers:
“I’m inspired by the people who make efforts to lift themselves up from less then desirable circumstances. They are heroes that both inspire and humble me. We painted a mural at a residence for pregnant teens and adolescent mothers. The idea that our time can add a glimmer of delight to the lives of these kids and moms is an incredible high!”

"An incredible event! It is symbolic of the culture at Webster."

"It’s a Webster tradition... a highlight of the Fall Semester. It’s nice to work side by side with someone who I don’t often get a chance to work with and it’s rewarding to get something accomplished for an agency that does good work."
