'Little Switzerland' is how the poet Shelley named the area of Lynton & Lynmouth. Lynton sits high on a clifftop and is connected with Lynmouth via an unusual cliff railway. Lynton is quaint, unspoilt, and rich in atmosphere as well as being on a heritage coast and part of the Exmoor National Park. Burlington and The Loft are ideally situated in the main high street above a gallery shop. Take the mile walk to the Valley of the Rocks or to the beauty spot of Watersmeet where you will find a 19th century fishing lodge now converted into a National Trust tea shop. The golden sands of Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton and the historic town of Barnstaple are all within easy reach.
