Shipping is $3.00 for the first book and $.50 for each additional book, book rate. There will also be a 75 cent
charge for each mailing for delivery confirmation.
Insurance or priority shipping are extra, please ask. Delivery outside the U.S. will be arranged. A number of the art cooks are quite heavy and can't be shipped for the $3.00 normal fee. If books are heavy I will have to charge extra shipping.

This is one of the most important books done on Haiti's folk music, along with his book Haiti Singing. This volume is 371 pp. and includes 109 pages of Haitian music. There are also b/w white photos.

study, one that put Courlander on the scholarly map for his work in Haiti. Lots of
fully noted music and b/w photos. Important book on Haiti folk music.

TROUBLED ISLAND: AN OPERA IN THREE ACTS
New York: Leeds Music Corp., 1949. This is the libretto which Hughes wrote for the opera. The music is not in this work. The music was by William Grant Still. The main character of the opera is Jean-Jacques Dessalines. The libretto is about 8x6, paper and is very good condition.

Oversized hard bound 1961 edition of this famous compilation of folk songs. Great condition. The section on Haiti has both the music and words including the famous Choucoune.
